The exhibition runs from March 2007 until January 2008 at the Hong Kong
Museum of Art in Kowloon. |
 A
research meeting held at Deacons solicitors in Hong Kong proved
extremely enlightening into the life of Sir Paul and Lady Chater.

Not much old architecture is left in Hong Kong. This is the dome
of the Legislative Council building which was erected in Sir Paul's era.
It jostles with the more modern building in the background |

Facing Statue Square, the facade stonework shows the attention to detail
that was applied in the 1900's when it was built |

The Cenotaph in Hong Kong, another piece of old Hong Kong that was
influenced by Sir Paul Chater, paid for by public subscription and
unveiled on the 24th May 1923, it is an exact replica of that in Whitehall in
London. |

after attentively by Asif Bajwa the manager of the Chater Lounge. |
 Michele,
Brian and I did a quick trip over to China for a day. Our hosts and
guide for the day was Rocky Dang as well as Peter Stuckey. They looked after us very well and took
us to this lovely Chinese restaurant for lunch in Zhangmutou near
Shenzhen. l to r: Rocky, Brian, Michele and me. |
