GETTING YOUR PHOTO and CHARITY DONATION
Receiving an ordered photo
Those who ordered a photo but were unable to collect on the day of the event will receive it through the post soon. If you don't by Friday, 11th July, contact <prioryevent @ yahoo.co.uk> and I will see what I can do.
Placing a new order
If you want a souvenir group photo but did not order one, please visit Nick Strugnell's gallery for the event at http://gallery.mac.com/nickstrugnell/100639. The service is currently being updated by the company that runs it but it should be up again soon. When it does come online, the login details are:
username: stphilips
password: 050708
I believe you will be able to view all the pictures and order any you like directly online. If not, you should make a note of the photos and e-mail Nick at <nick @ nickstrugnell.com>. He's on holiday next week (12th-20th July) so don't be put off if you don't get an immediate reply. If you still have difficulties after that, again e-mail me and I will see what I can do.
Please note, Nick took several photos besides the group photo. The price should be reasonable as his fee has already been paid. You can, of course, have any size. Those who want a photo taken by the photographer from the Essex Chronicle should contact the Essex Chronicle directly.
Thank you!
Charity
You may like to know that the proceeds from the Friends of the Priory Event went to three causes. £200 was given to the PTA so that they may send surplus Priory uniforms to St. Peter and St Paul's School in Jamaica. £115 was given to Chelmsford Mencap, who support children with mental disability in the local area. £115 was given to CGD Research Trust, who fund research into the immune defficiency disease, Chronic Granulomatous Disorder, and offer support to those with the disease. Chelmsford Mencap and CGD Research Trust are charities with close connections to a present pupil and the sibling of a recent pupil, respectively. Please visit the links above to find out more about their valuable work.

Details
Dear all,
As you know, St. Philip's Priory School is to close and will run as St. Cedd's from 1st August, 2008. Although this is sad news, a party has been arranged for the 5th July, 2008. I hope you share the same excitement about this as I do! It would be the perfect time to meet old friends and teachers and see the school one last time before it changes hands.
Here's an approximate schedule.
| 1pm | Doors open. Bar opens: wine, beer, tea, orange squash. |
| 1.30pm-3pm | Guided tours of the school every half hour. |
| 2pm-4pm | Barbecued food will be served, including hot dogs and vegetable kebabs. |
| 3.30pm | Group photo. |
| 4pm | Games (depending on risk assessment). |
Children's activities will also be available throughout the afternoon, including face painting, balloon sculpting and a children's play area.
Please feel free to invite anyone else you think would want to come. You may find this downloadable flyer useful. To ensure the success of the event, however, I would ask you please to e-mail me at <prioryevent @ yahoo.co.uk>, to confirm your attendance, including also how many will be in your party and how many of those are over 18. This is just so that I can budget the event properly. Also, if there's anyone who is able to help for part of the event, your help would be very much appreciated. Again, please e-mail me at the above address for details. Thanks a lot.
The entrance fee is yet to be finalised but at the moment is likely to be £4.00 for adults and £2.50 for under 18s. That will cover your first food item and, for adults, your first alcoholic drink. After that, you're free to buy extra as you wish...
Great. Thanks for your interest. I'm looking forward to seeing you there. Can't wait!
Yours,
Brian Burton
P.S. Please note, I will be adding information to this web page as it becomes available.
