| Initial setup is done from the opening page - select the number of rounds, number of boards per round (which in turn selects the default time per round) and the warning time (a warning chime sounds this long before the end of the round). You can edit both the time per round and warning period to suit yourself. | |
| Pressing save will store these values and automatically reuse them every time you open Bridge Timer. To save defaults for 2, 3 & 4 board movements set up each one in turn then press save. Do the one you use most often last then that will be the default when you restart but you can get to the other times you have saved by scrolling through the number of boards per round (range 2-5). | |
| Test the volume by clicking the volume button. If it is too quiet or too loud right clicking this button opens the Windows volume control so you can reset the volume. If for some reason the program can't find the volume control then you can open it manually from the Windows control panel (start-settings) and clicking 'sounds and audio devices. | |
| Once you start the timer it keeps going continuously, sounding a warning and then the time to move sound. You can always restart from round 1 by clicking the left button, or you can reset the round number by right clicking the left button (left click it to get to round 1 then right click to increment the round number). | |
| Resetting and editing the time for the current round can be done with the second button - either click the button to restart the timer for the current round, or you can add/subtract minutes or seconds to the current round by clicking the up/down buttons or the +/- keys or PgUp/PgDn keys. | |
| If you forgot to set the volume you can change it on the timer screen as well - just right click the volume button to get the Windows volume control up , adjust it, and then test by left clicking the button. | |
| If you do not like my sounds you can use your own - just rename the files C:\program files\TimeToMove.wav and/or C:\program files\Warning.wav and put your own .wav files in their place with exactly those names (names are case sensitive ). | |
| Enjoy your Bridge |
