GREBE sp.
One small grebe, probably Black-necked, flew south distantly past Ness Point on the 2nd.

SLAVONIAN GREBE
Podiceps auritus

A very obliging bird was found near The Wherry Hotel, Oulton Broad on the 29th. Later in the afternoon it had moved to the west of the broad between the yacht station and the houseboats. If visiting Oulton Broad there is a stunning male Wood Duck with the Mallard on the pond by the yacht station. Dubious origins but a really smart bird!

Frustratingly for all those who looked on Oulton Broad on the 30th, the Slavonian Grebe was hiding on Lake Lothing between the Yacht Club and Mutford Lock bridge. It's still around which is good.
