FAZER THOU CORNER
(Big Hot FZ1 Poop)

I wasn't going to bother at first. "Let them blimmin ol' Fazer thou owners set up their own Hot Poop section", I thought.
Well, it turns out they couldn't.
"Oh please, Lum," they all begged me, "please make us our very own section in Hot Poop."
So in the end, I relented (being the nice bloke wot I am and all).

"But you'll have to give me things to put in there" I told them. "Don't expect me to come up with it."
"Oh yes, Lum, we will. Loads of it"  they assured me.

Well that was months ago. And look what they've come up with:

Can you tell me anything about the Fazer 1000 battery?
Anyone know of a touchup paint for the frame?
Changing the gearing - what can I do about the speedo?
Any good sources of Fazer 1000 info?
OK. It's coming along now. But I need more, or I'll have to give the web space back (well, not really, but - you know).

So come on, you FZ1 riders. Show us what you can do to help your fellow Foccer.
Get em rolling in. You know where to send them.

Anyone know of a touchup paint for the frame?
(by Silver Sloth of FOC-U)

I scraped the frame on my 2003 thou when I fell off, but Yam suppliers claim that Yam
don't do a touch up paint for the black frame.

In the end, I got an aerosol from RS Motorcycle paints
(01226 20360 - very helpful people. They didn't have a listing for the thou, but it's
the same as the R1. Just in case anyone needs some, RS's code is:

COB YAM 14678
FRM BLACK AER

You'll also need some
2K MATT LAQUER

It's not cheap, but it's a perfect match
(or would be if I wasn't crap at spraying!)

I want to change the gearing; what can I do about the speedo error?
(from a post by snave1 on FOC-U)

The speedo is driven off the gearbox, so when you change the gearing, you introduce speedo error.
To correct it, you can get a device called 'The Yellow Box Electronic Speedo Recalibrator' from here:
http://www.blackrobotics.com/

And for help fitting it, look no further than:

Any good sources of Fazer 1000 info?

Well I'm no expert, but this one looks pretty damned good to me:

(In fact, Hot Poop is feeling extremely inadequate all of a sudden. Time for a lie-down)
