Cockburn Mill, Nr DUNS
WEEKEND Dates:
4th and 5th July ;  1st and 2nd August 2009
10am to 4pm each day (1hr lunch)
£ 55 per weekend, or £ 35 per day
Tea & Coffee provided, bring packed lunch.

COCKBURN MILL is nestled in a most beautiful area of Berwickshire (near DUNS) at the foot of the Lammermuirs and on the banks of the River Whiteadder below Cockburn Law. We have been given access to the well-established gardens of Co’burn Mill house with many focal points of interest, including a delightful kitchen garden and pond. Apart from the main house and mill building, there are cottages and out-buildings, and the river has high banking on the far side, which in summer will be covered with verdant trees and foliage.
If the weather is showery, the mill buildings will provide cover for inside work with plenty of stimuli, for although the mill is no longer a working mill, it still has most of the original features inside, including huge cogs and milling stones.
Inside, you will also find a lovely collection of old bottles, artefacts, and hundreds of old earthenware flowerpots, all wonderful subject matter for drawing or painting.
