Cricket is so much more than batting, bowling and fielding. The game requires an understanding of strategy, motivation, meteorology as well as a firm grip of mathematics and statistics. Not all of us have these skills - but for those who enjoy a little more analysis, the Cricket 3d game provides a bonus collection of scorecards, summaries and graphics. No-one has yet asked for a full scorebook to be added to the game although many players do save the final scorecards and record their scores. So while you do not have to record every dot ball and every run yourself, the Mac will keep a range of scores and stats for you to use and consult as the game progresses. |

| The
scorecards are available at the touch of a button and
show all the individual batsman and bowler details. Fall of
wicket is shown and the current overall position of the game is
summarised at the top of the screen. A summary page lists the
best batting and bowling figures for each innings. Additional pages can be called up to see the teams and their bowling and batting statistics - you can even edit the names and put yourself into your favourite team! |
The
Wagon Wheel screen builds up a great view of every scoring shot for
each batsman. Using the colour coded display, you can see
where the quick singles are taken as well as the strong areas for
boundary shots. Now you can think about the fielder positions and see if you can restrict the scoring. When you are batting, the wagon wheel shows you how your innings is building. |
The
excitement of Limited Overs games has been enhanced with
the runrates now being calculated ball by ball. On screen
displays show the rate needed and the rate being achieved - and the
whole game can be assessed at any time with the brand new graphical
display. As the game progresses, bowling changes are enforced and the winner of the Limited Overs game only becomes clear in the final over! |
