My main passion is the warmth and softness of wool, but being too impatient to knit I choose to cut up jumpers instead. Through Magpie Heaven I aim to create innovative, stylish and affordable clothing out of good quality second-hand jumpers. I have been experimenting on wool with an overlocker sewing machine for several years and I am constantly discovering new designs.

I love the challenge of working with recycled fabric - even the trimmings and buttons I use to customise my clothing are from second-hand sources – and as a consequence each item is unique and individual.

There is such an abundance of unwanted fabric that need not go to waste and I am determined to convert some of this waste into practical and beautiful textiles.
