The Pond Club

Lise Roberts runs the Pond Club for the children. Initially a competition was held to create a design for the Wildlife Area. Now, each Tuesday lunchtime, small groups of children explore the wildlife area. There are several regular maintenance jobs that have to be done: skimming duckweed from the pond, removing any litter that may have blown in, cleaning and replenishing the bird tables and feeders. Probably the most enjoyable and important thing, of course, is simply to observe! Any parents who would like to volunteer to help out with the pond club either occasionally or regularly would be very welcome.
