What to See

Here are some of the animals and plants that have been seen in the wildlife area. Some are more easily found than others. Keep your eyes peeled when you visit or look in through the fence – there is always the chance of spotting something new! The wildlife area has been designed to have a range of habitats – pond, meadow, scrub, and trees. It also contains mainly wild plants which are native to Britain, rather than garden plants. These factors should make it very attractive to minibeasts such as beetles, butterflies, moths, and other insects for their food, shelter, egg-laying etc. The minibeasts in turn may attract larger animals in to feed, such as birds, hedgehogs and other small mammals.
