Malcolm’s extensive experience of working in London, Edinburgh and abroad together with his no-nonsense approach to design, has earned him a wide variety of commissions at home and abroad, including hotels, banks, embassies, palaces, celebrity homes, stately homes and modern apartments.
In 1999 Malcolm became one of youngest Members of the British Interior Design Association along with being nominated for the 1999 Interior Designer of the Year.
Published in Interior Elite as one of the top Interior Designers in the world his work has been published in high profile magazines and design books.
The cornerstones of Malcolm’s design philosophy are passion, detail, colour, scale, historical reference and careful planning. An arbiter of good taste, he has produced some of the country’s most stunning interiors for his exacting and loyal clientele.
During a recent lecture tour to the USA Malcolm was widely complemented by students, lecturers and invited guests for a series of presentations encouraging Interior Design students to improve their chances of professional successes by accepting that their artistic talent must be enhanced by efficient project management procedures resulting in projects being delivered on time and within budget.
His recent completion of a city centre restaurant along with Scotland’s most important stately home refurbishment in recent years have been widely featured on television and in newspapers and magazines and he continues to provide innovative and historic design concepts adding to his portfolio.
