Whether you are a new visitor or a returning regular welcome to 'webcam pond' a small garden pond in Aberdeen, Scotland. Aberdeen enjoys a pleasant climate with no extremes of weather, the summer months are short and warm but winters are long and cool, for the fish this means eating for eight months and 'hanging around' at the bottom of the pond for the remainder of the year. For me, it means that green water is not a problem and pond maintenance is kept to a minimum, there is a pump and a home made filter but no UV clarifier, if algae looks like it might become a problem I throw in a mini straw bale and that usually sorts it out. The pond is home to a selection of goldfish and the occasional itinerant frog or toad, it is a drinking place for the birds and hedgehogs, attracts pipistrelle bats and provides entertainment for our neighbours pussy cat. In March 2008 webcampond.com was lucky enough to be chosen by EarthCam as one of their Top 10 Cams. The Top 10 Cams are chosen each week by EarthCam based on quality of image, uniqueness of content and overall technical achievements in webcam technology, I am very pleased that webcampond.com was chosen for this award. Thank you to everyone for visiting this web site.
What can you expect to see when you visit webcam pond?
