Rowena also works as a freelance model maker to the advertising, animation, TV and media industries. She has worked as a prop maker and set builder for such shows as Bill And Ben The Flower Pot Men, Fetch The Vet, Bob The Builder, My Parents Are Aliens and adverts for the likes of Halifax, Cadbury's and Johnie Walker Whisky.

A recent graduate from the New Entrepreneur Scheme at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, Rowena is now using a grant to focus on her jewellery business. At Habitat she launched her new 'Crinkle' range. Although originally inspired by the texture on a fossilised mammoth tooth, the range is also reminiscent of frozen icefalls and ski-tracks in the snow.

"I am a keen mountaineer and paraglider and am constantly inspired by the natural forms and textures found in the natural world. Whilst ice climbing in the Scottish Highlands I have stumbled upon the bizzarest of ice formations... undulating rivulets of ice carved and shaped by summit winds... all precious jewels in themselves... that melt away into memories."

Rowena works from her small workshop in South Manchester and supplies her work to gallery shops. She sells directly to the public at craft fairs and exhibitions and is available for commision.
