The Assault Glider Trust: The aim of the project is to build full-size replicas of Allied Assault gliders.

Paradata: This superb site brings together the experiences of the men and women of Airborne Forces with the official records and regimental history.

Operation Freshman: The first site I have come across which is dedicated to the participants of the GPR's first operation.

6th Airborne Division - Normandy: An excellent site from Mark Hickman - his attention to detail is to be commended.

The Battle of Arnhem Archive: Another excellent site from Mark.

Operation Market Garden: A superb collection of information on the operation.

The Search for Tommy Atkins: WW2 Merxem BELGIUM September 1944: Who is/was the Glider Pilot rescued by two German soldiers near Merxem? Derek Lovemore has created a website to aid in the search for this pilot's identity.

Glider Pilot Regimental Association South-West Branch: Branch Secretary, Arthur Underwood has put together an informative website. I'd like to see other Branches follow Arthur's lead.

The National World War II Glider Pilots Association, Inc.: This is the association for American Glider Pilots.

General World War Two

The National WWII Memorial: The World War II Memorial honours the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S., the more than 400,000 who died, and all who supported the war effort from home. Symbolic of the defining event of the 20th Century, the memorial is a monument to the spirit sacrifice, and commitment of the American people. The Second World War is the only 20th Century event commemorated on the National Mall’s central axis.

The National D Day Memorial: The National D-Day Memorial Foundation is an educational foundation which has been established in Bedford, Virginia, with the aim of maintaining a memorial to the valour, fidelity, and sacrifice of the Allied Armed Forces who landed in Normandy, France, on June 6, 1944. The finished complex will contain a memorial, with brass plaques with the details of each Allied serviceman who died on D-Day, and an education centre.

BBC WW2 People's War: This is part of the BBC's Remembrance Project. The site contains over 45,000 stories, which were contributed between 2003 and 2005. The stories cover every aspect of the war as it really happened.

WW2TALK: An excellent forum with a varied and knowledgable membership.

Bob Cull's World War II pages: Mainly, but not entirely, concerned with British involvement. A lot of good reading with links to other sites.

The Stirling Project: A major restoration project on an aircraft that towed many gliders.

57 Rescue: Another major restoration project on an aircraft (this time the Halifax) that towed many gliders.

RAF WWII 38 Group Squadrons Reunited: An excellent site dedicated to the men and women of the RAF's 38 Group. Aircraft from this Group were involved in glider towing.
