The car park on the map at NO039406 seems to have been replaced by a smaller roadside one at NO941404. There is a waymarked path from here to the summit with extensive views on top and en route. The paths do not completely correspond to those shown on the Explorer map. Also there is an unmarked path from around NO039398 to the ruins of Roballion Castle (see photo) which meets the waymarked path near the foot of the stairs at NO034399.
