9B Carn na h-Easgainn
NH743321 3.4.2011

Both Meall Mor and Carn na h-Easgainn can be done from layby 171 on the A9 at NH733348.
On the 25k map there is a forest road shown from the A9 at NH729348 which joins up to the main forest road (General Wade's Military Road), but although passable, it is overgrown. You can get through to the A9 at a few places as the forestry is quite young, but there does not appear to be a good route. Anyway, follow the military road SE for a short way past the Rout of Moy cairn to a junction at NH731346. Turn right for a few yards to a burn and follow this S to a deer fence. Climb the fence and keeping on the W side of the burn climb out of the hollow then head due S to around NH729340, then head SE to reach the high ground of Creag an Eoin. From here head just E of S over peat hags to the end of a surfaced road which looks to be setup for extending the wind farm of the far side of the hill. This road goes all the way to the summit.

An easier bikeable route would be to follow the wind farm road from the A9 at Dalmagarry.
