Millfore and Craignell

You can park at the start of the forest road at NX503774 (or there is a parking area a short way up the road). Follow the road to its highest point at NX489758. Leave the road and head WSW to Millfore (my 1000th Marilyn).

Return to the road and cross it heading E through deep heather, keeping N of the high ground. When starting to descend head ESE to meet the line of the power lines at NX501756. Don't follow the forest edge, keep to an ESE bearing. From the vally floor there is a prominent path heading NE diagonally up the flank of Bennan which you can follow for a short way before turning right to head SE through deep heather to Brennan and then Craignell.

Return to the power lines by the same route (or WSW around the Scars of Brennan) to pick up a path which follows the power lines NNE. This meets a new unmarked forest road at NX504770 which joins the outward road.
