I parked near Craigdarroch at NS632065 from where I made a direct ascent from the sheepfold marked on the Explorer map at NS636062 up the scree, but I wouldn't recommend it. I returned on easier ground by initially heading towards Craigbraneoch Hill then trending west back to the sheepfold.
An alternative and probably more pleasant route is on a marked path from Blackcraig. There is also a windfarm on Laglass Hill but it is not shown on my maps so I don't know where the access road starts.
