Viper is a game for 1 to 8 players (either online or a single PC), based on the classic Snake games such as Tron, Nibbles or Light Cycles, and popularised by Nokia Snake.  No longer restricted to just 4 directions, you are now free to rotate your snake left and right, scoring points by collecting pills or running through you (or your opponents) tails.

Viper was written in the most excellent Blitz Basic by Mark Sibly.  Graphics produced using BPaint by Angus Arthur.  Some of the concepts used in this game are based on an old Amiga game of the same name (the authors name escapes me), but most of the game dynamics are new. The single most significant addition is the inclusion of online play allowing up to 8 players to compete over the Internet.
