GTV identity GTV's current design package was launched on the channel as of 3 March 2008, produced by Neptune Television, replacing the previous identity which was introduced in February 2007. The way in which GTV is reflected to its audience is of utmost importance, and GTV strives to provide an accessible and presentable look to our viewers.
1. Ident - Various GTV logos within "speech quotations" appear, fade in and fade out. Used prior to discussion/news programmes.
2. Ident 2- a circle of red, yellow and green circles spins, before focusing on a point and colour circles move from right to left. Used for daytime programmes
3. Ident 3 - Blue stars float upwards from white GTV logo. Used generically
4. Ident 4 - a "plop" is heard as the surface of dark water and GTV logo ripple silently. Used for news/sombre occasions/drama.
5. Ident 5 - Various letters spin up accross the screen, before fruit-machine style residing on letters "GTV". Used for entertainment purposes
6. Ident - Purple rings materialise and move upwards from "transmitter" "T". Used generically, mostly factual and sports.
7 - Ident - Sun rises from over horizon as colours change accordingly. Used in mornings, and daily at 9.25am
8- Ident - Sun sets over horizon as colours get darker. Used at dusk depending on time of year.
9 - Ident - bubbles float from bottom of screen; one of which contains GTV logo. Used prior to soaps.
10- Ident - heart monitor beeps as graph line moves up and down. Used prior to drama/entertainment.
11- Ident - three letter words move from right to left quickly and randomly appearing. GTV coloured in black. Used prior to children's and factual programming.
12 - Ident - arrows and GTV logos move from right to left, accompanied by racing-car sounds. Used in conjunction with sports/entertainment programmes.
