About NETV |
|||
|
NETV produces many regional programmes including NETV Tonight, the flagship news programme for the region, and Location Factors, a long-running regional programme looking at the area's geography. NETV plays out its regional identity at all times between 9:25 and 22:59 daily, with generic Six branding used overnight whilst simulcasting with GTV. We have a team of extremely local continuity announcers, who ensure the North East comes first to our viewers. The region is divided into two regions for news and advertising purposes, known as NETV North and NETV South, the former being the larger. our history Emoa North East was launched at 9.25am on 15 January 2006, and its first programme was the 5 minute local news update, Emoa News. We completely changed regional broadcasting in the north east, hitting new areas of local issues through a new range of refreshing local programming and modern, unique reporting. Some of our successful North Eastern programmes that made an impact at our launch included the award winning Location Factors, fantasy-drama The Folks and one of the two main Network soaps, First Avenue. In November 2006, we re-launched as NETV, changing our image to a more wholehearted regional broadcaster, but also building on our production-based business model to adapt to local and national needs. In January 2007, our first national crime drama, Chain Links, was first shown on NETV, leading to a very successful network series. NETV won annual franchise rounds in 2007, 2008 and 2009, providing a loyal local service over 3 years. NETV is at the hub of the Emoa Television group of companies, and provides services for all of Emoa's subsidiary and 3rd party companies. . |
