Alternative
to a memory card reader in a projector is the HD1000 media player. Takes variety of memory cards, or by
network connection to PC disk folder, and plays picture files from the folder
on a digital projector. (Also does
sound files.) Approx $300. Not clear whether any colour setup
adjustment is feasible, but probably not. At
least is not a playback system dedicated to one projector. |

Card readers |
Several
projector manufacturers include higher featured models with card readers
and/or data networking. As noted at
‘PC’, it is the PC’s graphics card driver which is adjusted in the
calibration/profiling process.
Therefore, although apparently attractive, relying only on the
projector colour settings may not be sufficient for PDI events requiring
consistent setup. |
