HypnoBirthing®

                                                     The Mongan Method

What is HypnoBirthing®?

Where does the technique come from?

HypnoBirthing® was originally established in the United States by Marie Mongan, who is the founder of The HypnoBirthing® Institute.  HypnoBirthing® is based on the work of Dr Grantly Dick-Read, an English physician, and whose principles are also the foundation of the National childbirth Trust (NCT).

Marie Mongan’s book HypnoBirthing®: A Celebration Of Life was first published in 1989, and HypnoBirthing® is now taught in countries all over the world.

Using her counselling background, and her skills as a Master Hypnotherapist, she developed the HypnoBirthing® program for her daughter and two friends.

From there the program grew and took on a life of its own.

Soon, the natural appeal of HypnoBirthing® began to spread into the mainstream.

Since then, many thousands of parents and their babies have joined the ranks of HypnoBirthing® families. Today, HypnoBirthing® is taught in twenty-two countries, and more locations are being added on a regular basis.

The program has been recognized by many leading television, newspaper and magazine publications across the world, as well as being featured in Practical Parenting magazine, the Sunday Express, Richard and Judy on Channel 4, LK Today on GMTV and He’s having a baby on BBC1.

Because of HypnoBirthing®, couples today can look forward to a beautiful, calm and serene birthing experience.
