3 pictures showing the run of the front brake pipes on middle, left and right lock. Note the little bracket off the chassis rail that guides the pipe so that it doesn't foul anything. Bracket still to be painted of course...

Propshaft from DaveMac propshafts. Re-used the rear joint from my donor propshaft which reduced the price to £145

The only problem I had was the hole for the spigot. The spigot is supposed to be 14mm but mine was slightly over size. I took a hand reamer to the hole and now it is a perfect fit.

Final fitting of the fuel tank. I made new straps from a slightly thicker galvanized steel than Marlin supply. I bent them to fit by using the tank itself as a jig.

Strengthening tube in place across the top of the bulkhead. You can see the gaps where the top of the bulkhead is distorted.

Strengthening tube in place. Now when I stand on the break pedal the bulkhead hardly moves at all making for much better feel of the pedal (and more reassuring!)

Scuttle in place. The holes pre drilled by Marlin for the 4 fixing studs were a mile out and I had to open them up considerably.

Closing plate in place (but not fixed yet. Locates on the strengthening tube at the bottom which is much better than using self tappers as Marlin provide.

Had some problems with the unions on the fuel pump leaking. Cure - plumbers PTFE tape.

Heatsheild made from sheet of galvanised steel (B&Q) and some heat resistance stuff from ebay.
14/10/2007
Heatshield in place.

Replaced the standard Marlin supplied bushes in the eyes of the upper suspension arm with polybushes.
