It's slow, laborious and turning out to be much more expensive than anticipated. All the bolts are seized up, and everything we take apart needs loads of work. This isn't rally preparation, its restoration with a bit of preperation along the way!!
10/11/01 - Interior Stripped, Axle Removed for Rebuild
19/12/01 - Axle and rear brakes completely stripped and rebuilt (big job), bottom of car cleaned and painted
22/12/01 - Gearbox Checked and Rebuilt with new 1st and 2nd Syncro and Quaife ATB LSD
6/1/02 - Engine Bottom end rebuilt - Needed crank regrind on mains and big ends. New rings fitted (more cost...) Hope I didn't disturb those liners....
7/1/02 - Eventually got correct Roll Cage from Safety Devices - just got to try and fit it now
13/1/02 - Engine, Gearbox, Suspension now fitted
27/1/02 - Roll Cage Now Fitted with loads of hassle.
23/2/02 - Loads of Welding up rotton old 205 now done (see pics). Still miles off finishing........
2/3/02 - 10/3/02 - Week off work building the car - Engine running, Tank guards on, Exhaust on, Fuel lines run, Seats and Harnesses in, more welding of rust holes
