Rich's Results Pages

I've competed in various form of Motorsport from Treasure Hunts to Stage Rallies. The results are listed here.

Stage Rallies

Following on from doing lots of Scatters then Road Rallies, the Stage Rallying started in late 1998 with Wethersfield stages. After a handful of events in the Escort, Rich build a 205 Challenge Car to compete on even terms!

Road Rallies and Endurance

A Salford University Motor Club mate - Mark Perrott persuaded me to do my first Road Rally in a totally standard MkV Cortina. This probably wasn't sensible on the grounds that it was a Derbyshire whites event. We retired at half way due to various parts of the car falling off, but we'd got the bug.

12 Cars

Mini road rallies for the motor club. Easy to organise with little PR required. Chelmsford MC's 12 Cars are aimed at new competitors with very easy Beginner/Novice navigation - Experts have to endure harder stuff to slow them down.

Scatters

Find your way around points on the map and get back within a time limit - properly organised ones can be competitive and fun, with plotting, and navigating round roads the main ingredients. Perfect for upgrading to Road Rallies.

Autotests

Minis tend to win these events, but upsets have been caused. If I can win in a Cortina, then anybody's got a chance.

Autocross

Cheap way to test out your racin/rallying skills. A borrowed car and the old Maestro made a couple of appearances.

Other Disciplines

These range from treasure hunts to PCTs (good in themselves).
