16mm Association - 2007 National Garden Railway Show

Parking problem? WHAT parking problem?? (OK, this was at 1030 on the Friday.........)..

The hall looked strangely empty..........

.... but John and Andy the Show Organisers had got things well in hand.................

................... in fact, you could have said that they'd got things taped!

The Bar wasn't working..........

........but the banners were going up outside...........

.... and most impressive they looked, too!

It was "interesting" erecting the Association's new display stand........

............. but there was time for a cuppa and a laugh! (L to R, John Orson, Marguerite and William Bickers-Jones and Doug Silk)

Layouts were by now starting to arrive..........

........... and traders were setting up.

The first train ran on Hopfields..........

....... and was duly admired by William, Doug and retiring layouts organiser Tim Roy.

By now (later on Friday) all the setting out was done, some layouts had arrived................

............ and there was time for a tea train!

Acccraft's new Baldwin was "borrowed" for photographic purposes...............

...... whilst everybody else was nearly ready.

Some had already finished and knocked off!

Ian Shields was wearing his "I've been to Peru" waistcoat..........

"Where's me stand????"

"Ah - there it is!" The DJB Engineering stand

The pre-booking idea worked well.................

.......... and was ably marshalled by Marguerite and Doug.

After this shot of Ttarrag Shed, I couldn't really get any pictures because of the crush!

This year the buzz was a Birmingham Corporation double decker (which ran full the time I saw it leave) but I can't get my head around the idea of a preserved Daimler Fleetline!
