The recent interest in ‘Dress Trashing’ originated from the USA in early 2007 and is becoming increasingly popular here in the UK. In contrast to the title, almost all ‘Trash the Dress’ (or TTD) shoots result in NO damage to the dress being worn. Thus these sessions are looked upon as an opportunity for the wedding dress to be worn for a second time, but in a more relaxed atmosphere and in totally inappropriate surroundings! MDO Studio ran their first ‘TTD’ session in mid. 2007 and by early 2008 were organising and running regular photographer’s workshops for both professionals, who want to branch into this field but prefer not to do their practicing on a paying customer, as well as enthusiastic amateurs who simply want to take some completely different looking photos! Anyone who owns a wedding dress and would like to wear it for a second time is welcome to contact us and arrange a private shoot. For shoots within a 15 mile radius of the studio, the price is just £95 all-in.
