At the recent AGM all the Committee members stood down and nominations were taken and voted on for a new committee for the year ahead. Wendy Towner declined an invitation to be Treasurer for a fourth term for the sake of her sanity, Tom Savage also rejected re-appointment on health grounds and Penny ’s jet-setting lifestyle leaves little time for Committee commitments. The Medway Emerald CSC extends its hearfelt thanks to those members for the selfless contributions they have made to the club over the last few years, in the full knowledge we will continue to enjoy their company at O ’Connell’s for forthcoming Match Days and Club Nights.

Club member Martin McCrae has foolishly, er, I mean kindly, volunteered to flll the void left by Tom whilst the wife of O ’Connell’s resident referee and token Handsome Hun Jim Govans has agreed tot take over from Wendy as Treasurer. The Medway Emerald CSC wishes to thank them both for stepping in to what are big shoes to fill with the knowledge that they will acquit themselves admirably.

Committee meetings are generally held the first Saturday of the month, all club members are welcome to attend and contribute to these meeetings. Any of the above will be glad to assist you with any club related enquiries - especially if you offer to buy them a drink first.
