Linda was born in Yorkshire in 1962, but has lived in the south for most
of her life, settling in Hampshire, with her husband, over 20 years ago. She
has studied at the universities of Bath and Southampton (Winchester School of
Art), where she has graduated in Physics and Fine Art Printmaking
respectively.
The primary subject of Linda's research is the built environment, both
interior and architectural. Her recent work has concentrated on the material
culture of the home and by making visual archive of all the objects in her
sitting room as wallpaper and a book series. These have formed what
may be seen as a historical document or a self portrait as, "each
object accumulated is an indicator of what is significant to me and
betrays my character".
Linda practices as a printmaker in Hampshire, UK,
working particularly in the mediums of digital print and blind emboss and has
a fascination for the artist's book. In recent months Linda has
exhibited in London, Winchester,
Birmingham, Ormskirk,
Sway, Aldershot, Basingstoke (UK) and in Seoul (Korea).
