How can you help?
What the Group needs more than anything else is to recruit more leaders. The more leaders the Group has, the wider the range of activities can be offered. With more leaders in the team the lesser the pressure is on individual leaders as the various jobs can be shared out. If you feel that you can become a leader please contact us. It does not matter if you can't come every week - any help, no matter how limited, is better than none. Once you have applied for a warrant as a leader, training will be arranged free of charge. Leaders are expected to wear uniform - but this uniform will be provided out of Group funds.
If you do not wish to take out a warrant you could apply to become a non-uniformed Assistant.
In both cases you will have to complete an application form and submit a CRB form for police checking. Once that has been cleared you will be interviewed by the District Appointments committee.
We often need occasional helpers. These helpers also need to be CRB cleared.
If you have any questions, wish to volunteer, please talk to one of the leaders.
