THE MERLIN MAGICAL SOCIETY

The Merlin has a growing membership of beginners, semi-professional & professional magicians.
Members meet on alternate Thursdays at Little Heath Parish Hall,
Thornton Road, Potters Bar, Herts, from 8pm to 10pm.
The Merlin has an extensive library available to members.
The library presents an opportunity to the handy person to make up items not on the market & seldom seen.
Over the years the Merlin has performed many shows for deserving charities.
The Merlin has also performed for other magical societies & they have returned the favour by performing for the Merlin.
A programme of events is set out for the year covering a wide variety of subjects, these include Close-up Magic, Children's Magic,
Pocket Tricks, Sale of Apparatus, Practice & Help etc.
The Merlin also has a number of professional guest lecturers each year.
On most evening's it is expected that each attending member will bring & perform at least one effect appertaining to the evenings subject, but it is also realized that with new members it is not always possible at first.
There is time to chat, ask for help or seek constructive advise,
no need to be shy, we are a friendly lot & proud of it.
The Merlin also produces a monthly newsletter, so members can catch up on any evenings that they may have missed.
