 Interim Management for Manufacturing

Providing a professional senior executive up to CEO level to manufacturing companies, to temporarily cover a vacant  role, turnaround or improve business performance, implement a Lean, Six Sigma or other change programme, re-engineer or implement a new ERP system, CRM or 'Sales and Operations Planning', manage a major project, or an acquisition, merger or disposal.

- Any situation where the immediate demands of the business exceed the current management resources.


Interim Management is one alternative to using Management Consultants, or recruiting permanent staff. The major advantages are that:

- Management stays directly in control, with the Interim personally responsible for the results.

- Solutions are not just found but implemented. Action is usually faster and more effective with the Interim focused on achieving the specific task, not on identifying further consulting 'opportunities'.

Interim Management is not the latest Transatlantic 'fad'. It is said to have started in Holland, to circumnavigate European employment laws, arriving in the UK about 12 year's ago. It can be a very effective tool, but needs specialised knowledge and experience to be really effective. Company Profile

The first assignment, for Husky Computers, was completed in 1986. The business became Manufacturing Business Advantage in 1994, and Manufacturing Executive Ltd. in 1997.

Assignments have been completed for both PLC's and SME's, with rates reflecting the role and experience required.
