About me

I was born in Bristol in 1949 and spent my school years in Sussex. I studied Physics at University and worked for some time as a Teacher of Physics and Maths.

I have been taking photographs for over 25 years. I was introduced to photography and learned darkroom skills whilst working as a school Audio Visual Technician. I now live in Waterbeach, near Cambridge and work as a Software Engineer.

My Photographs

My photographs are mostly of the natural world: landscapes, skies, trees and plants.

I develop and print black and white photographs in my own darkroom using traditional materials and processes. I have more recently started working with toning techniques, using selenium and sepia toners for subtle colour changes and increased archival permanence.
