Beech trees, Crawley Woods, Gower August 2003.
(split sepia/selenium toned)
Crawley Woods are just inland from the beach and dunes of Nicholaston Burrows, at the Eastern end of Oxwich bay. Dark and quiet, sheltered from the sound of waves by the sand dunes. These are some Beech trees close to the edge of the wood where light filters through their leaves and illuminates their smooth-barked trunks.
