Main Meetings
A regular meeting is held at the Civil Service Club, Great Scotland Yard

map - near Trafalgar Square, six times a year on the first Wednesday
of every other month, commencing February each year.
We have many interesting speakers whose subjects deal with music, architecture,
travel, science & technology and history. The lectures are frequently
illustrated with slides and questions are always welcome.
Music
There are regular visits to the Wigmore Hall (Sunday morning concerts),
evening concerts in the Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, Royal Albert Hall
(Proms), Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Cadogan Hall.
Dining Out
Visits are arranged each month, in the evening/and or lunch times, to
a number of reasonably priced restaurants covering various British and
ethnic cuisines. There is at least one pub evening a month and the occasional
wine bar visit.
Theatre Visits
At least one visit a month to theatres, sometimes in the National Theatre,
Southbank, or in the West End, and frequently to smaller ones, such as
the Orange Tree, Richmond; the Lyric, Hammersmith; and Hampstead Theatre.
Visits
Regular visits are made to Art Exhibitions, Museums, Stately Homes and
other places of interest in London as well as to events such as the Oxford/Cambridge
Boat Race.
Gardeners Group
There is a lively gardeners' group visiting RFH flower shows, prestigious
gardens open to the public, meetings in members' homes to exchange plants,
view gardening videos and discuss gardening matters.
Walks
Walks are arranged on Hampstead Heath, in the City of London,
and other areas of interest within and around London.
Other Events
Occasional visits are arranged to places of interest outside London -
Oxford and Cambridge, Chichester etc.
