Or, a few pictures taken over the years.
Taken in Hereford, when I was around two, the original is in Black & White, but I have coloured this one in. |
A few years later - around 1972/3 "Our Gang" There is a photograph in every family that we all like to pull out once in a while and have a jolly good laugh at, or to frighten prospective family members with, and this one is ours. With me, in descending order of size, are my sisters, Margaret, Mary and Julie. The reason that this photo is so funny is that Margaret still looks like that today. I think Dad has still got the same wheelbarrow, but whatever happened to that football ? I do still have the tin of dubbin that I used to smother the thing with.

Probably around fifteen or sixteen years old by now. Sitting on the fence as usual, and starting a trend by modelling a haircut that Noel Gallagher would be very proud of. Note that the amount of denim used here could have provided enough material to make a four man tent. |
Not all that long later. Now eighteen, this is part of the official photograph of the 1978 intake of Gloucestershire Police Cadets. The hair is certainly shorter, and the trousers now use much less material. And they now have creases. |
Taken in the mid eighties, the hair is a little longer and the sun glasses rather fashionable for the time. This cycling shirt was in use until mid '98, and can be seen on the last occasion that I wore it, by pressing HERE |

Cornwall 1990 Taken at St Michaels Mount, it includes Margaret, Dad and Margy's boyfriend Nick, with me in the foreground. |
Taken in late '98, with my niece Rebecca, shortly after her first day at school. | |
