A Vickers Valentia in a hangar at Habbaniya.
|
This much retouched Photograph of a Valentia of the Flight in a Hangar at Habbaniya is believed to have been taken in the very early period of M.R.Skeets service in Iraq. This was a very small photo' in poor condition, it had the words: - ('A Valentia in a Hangar, 1920 odd!') written on the back. I believe this may have been sent to his mother before the outbreak of war. Two other Aircraft of the same type can just be seen in the background, an Airman standing at the nose of the Aircraft indicates its great size. To read a profile of the Vickers Valentia and its origins please click on the Photograph.
