My Instrumentals My instrumentals, is a collection of music that I have recorded by various means available to me . I have used Yamaha XG works, and Cakewalk Sona 4 sequencing software and also the multi track and editing facilities on the CVP405's digital song recorder and mixing console . The songs were first recorded as midi data, and then re recorded on the CVP As wave files with the USB Audio Recorder function , and then converted to MP3 on the PC with Switch or Audacity software . All sequencing is my own work, however XG works does allow me to use The built in Yamaha Styles, or other custom styles.

I only had a piano sheet for this . If you would like a copy you can download from here So I had a listen on You tube and checked the original orchestral line up for this song in Wikipedia I then set up the following tracks for multi track on my CVP 405 and XG Works Sequencing prog on the pc. Track 1 High Strings Orchestra Live Track 2 Low Strings Allegro Strings Track 3 Space Tech Sounds Celestial XG synth pad Track 4 Timps & Cymbals Tuti Strings (notes below G 2 sound Timps or Cymbals Velocity dependent) Track 5 Fanfare Brass Mellow Horns Track 6 Intro &End bars Tibia Track 10 Extra Cymbals Symphony Kit For those that want to have a look and play . The midi file is below will sound much better on a Yamaha than the MP3 and its fun to watch the sliders going up and down on ch 1-8 in the mixing consol onYamaha keyboards. Should play on anything from the S 900 up through the Tyros range and CVP 405 and up. Warning Some tracks contain more than one voice and vol settings so be careful what you change or edit in the mixing consol if you have a play.
