My Vocal Covers Maybe at my ripe old age I’m a bit old to start singing, but it just a bit of fun and adds to my enjoyment of the CVP 405 as it has built in vocal harmony function. So anyone with perfect pitch or a trained vocalist be warned. Just a few for now to see how it goes, hope at least some one will like something. 	Eileen Lowry and Al Johnson An Affair To Remember Quote From AL: Hello, with permission from Eileen I had to sing this number of which she arranged. Might I also state that I enjoyed every moment. Eileen did the musical arrangement and I did the vocal. Eileen lives in the U.K. and I in the U.S.A. The Internet is a powerful tool for good and this is one example. She and I communicated through this vehicle sharing this musical idea. I have been told that I have a similar voice to the late, great Nat King Cole of which I always embarrassingly decline. 	For you entertainment Emi Marie sings Whitney Houston I Have Nothing This Is a Vocal from my 18 yearold Grand Daughter . She is currently attending Truro College on a B Tec National in music., covering vocals, music arrangement, song writing and studio work, mixing etc. She is just coming to the end of her first year and has done a couple of gigs with a group formed by other music student on her course, all part of the course work. She often spends time with me and I finally persuaded her to record a song this afternoon with the audio recorder on my CVP 405 . This is a Whitney Houston song called I HAVE NOTHING recorded strait to the CVP via my Soundcraft mixer. Using a midi backing track for the cvp voices .We often work this way and I am forever working on backing tracks and re voicing etc for her, still keeps me out of mischief. 	Emi Marie and Gary Beale with Make You Feel My Love One of the things I really like about the internet is the bringing together of folks interest and skills. Some excel at playing some at vocals and some of us enjoy the technical side of keyboards and software. The magic of the internet allows us to bring all that together even if we have never met in person. This song is one of those occasions. A few days ago Gary posted a beautiful Piano arrangement of an Adele song ”Make You Feel My Love” Having previously heard my Gran daughter Emi Marie sing on here he kindly offered to make a backing track for her to do a vocal version. So he recorded a piano version more suitable for a vocal backing track, plus a string melody to go over the bridge this was recorded as a Mid and sent to me. With the help of my Cvp 405 for re voicing and Yamaha Xg works on the pc, I cloned the piano to an extra track to make two pianos, and also part of the piano track to make another string track to blend below the bridge. To add spatial effect I paned the now live grand to the left, the cloned now warm grand to the right . The backing bridge strings, slightly left and Gary’s melody violin slightly right This left the centre sound stage for Emi’s vocal.. The new resulting 4 track midi backing track was played on the Cvp while Emi Sung and recorded the final Vocal version. on the Cvp Audio recorder. After that just a case of converting to MP3.
