The blue handle on the left controls the
airbrakes. It is in the fully backwards position to fully extend the
airbrakes to reduce the chance of a gust of wind from lifting the
glider.
The green knob forwards of the airbrake handle
controls the elevator trim tabs used to reduce pressure on the stick.
The dark blue knob below the airbrake handle controls the main wheel
brake, a single disk.
The stick (control column) is fixed to the floor and pivots freely
within the square 'box' under the floor. The green button on the handle
top controls the radio.
Below the instrument panel in the nose footwell are the two rudder
pedals. They are adjusted fore and aft by a spring toggle on the floor
forward of the stick. The toggle can be seen lying on the floor.
At the foot of the picture is the front edge of
the seat. It is a moulded construction covered by a thin
shock-absorbing safety cushion.
In the lower left of the picture is one of the seat harness straps -
there are five straps, three leg and two shoulder straps connected
together in a central quick-release buckle.
