The
Black Horse Inn as seen from the main road that passes through
the heart of the village. It was once two cottages, with the right-hand
cottage being used as the pub.
The entrance porch was added in later years. The
public house has been in the village since at least 1886, when
the census survey lists Charles Wincott as Grocer and Publican.
