Alexander Moss b1855 was a witness at John Molyneux and Elizabeth Moss's marriage.
This was found during the research. It appears that Alexander was a member of the Odd fellows.

Mr A. Moss, Widnes.
Mr Alexander Moss, of 34, Frank St, Widnes, passed away in December at the above address, aged 79 years. Mr Moss had very interesting associations with the town. He had completed over 50 year’s membership of Kent’s Pride Lodge l.O.O.F.(M.U.) being initiated in march 1876. He was one of the first members, and from his initiation gave his wholehearted interest to the management of the lodge. His activities were appreciated and honoured by his elevation to the chair twelve months after his initiation. Further honours quickly followed, he being made N.G. in 1879, lodge trustee in 1864, an office he held until he was elected treasurer in 1904, which office he held until his death. In 1905 he was appointed Prov. G.M. of the Runcorn District. Three year’s later he was appointed a district trustee, and at the time of his death still held that office. Mr Moss was employed at the U.A.Co Ltd (Widnes Alkali Works) until his retirement seven years ago.
The funeral took place at Farnworth Parish Church on Wednesday of last week, the Rev. A. Williams officiating.

The general mourners Mr J. Herriman, Mt T. Wikinson, Mrs E. Bullen (Mossley Hill) and the following representatives of the Runcorn District I.O.O.F.(M.U.) Friendly Society; Bro W. Howard P.P.G.M.,J.Burges P.P.G.M., H.S. Wikinson P.G., W Harper P.G.. T .Atherton P.G., A. Carter PG., and W. Whitfield.
