* The current
line-up of MOTORKILL is "
Tilly" - Bass & Lead Vocals, "Mase
" - Drums, "KK" - Rythm Guitar & Vocals,
"Paul" - Lead Guitar. This line-up has been together
since November 2006 & is going strong to the present date. Information in this section details the very beginning of the band & includes past members. If using any text from this page for advertising purposes please ensure that the current line-up is used as stated above. Many Thanks - MOTOR KILL. |

* Formed after the split of the "Dirty Dogs" (an AC/DC & classic
rock 5 piece covers band) in February 2005. "The Ace of Spades" was already
in the 'Dogs set (sung by Tilly) & this was the starting point for the
formation of "MOTORKILL"
. |
|
* With 2 members of the Dogs leaving (Vocals-Chris Hill & Lead
Guitar-Stuart Henri) the 3 remaining members, TILLY-MASE-KK, were originally
joined by GIZ, a talented young Lead Guitarist who remained with the band
until family duties became a priority. PAUL ANDERSON would later take over
the Lead Guitar role in November 2006. |
|
* Rehearsals immediately went full on! Classics like - BOMBER -
IRON FIST - TOO LATE TOO LATE - WE ARE THE ROAD CREW - NO CLASS - and even
newies like - IN THE NAME OF TRAGEDY - STAY OUT OF JAIL - WE ARE MOTOR
KILL - are all in the current set list.

* The 1st gig went like a dream!! A full hour of power! - we were
ready for this one!! |
|
* The 2nd gig was a little more troublesome! Problems with monitoring
spoiled the performance for the band, but luckily the gig was videoed &
revealed that the sound out front was pretty much OK. We still took this
as a lesson & invested in better monitoring equipment.
|
|
* The 3rd gig at "THE ACE OF SPADES BAR" in Tipton also went very
well. This gig being the first time that Tilly wore the Lemmy wig!! "Wow
that was hot" (or words to that effect) was the comment after the gig!!
A packed bar, a good atmosphere & we played well - another success for
The 'Kill. |
|
* The 4th gig was back at The Green - This time a full 1.5 hr set
with everyone dressing the part with smoke, lights & plenty of LOUD
ROCK. Again the gig was videoed and this time put on to DVD (Cheers to Dave
Gill for the great camera work and transfer to DVD) for band analysis -
this was a marked improvement from the 2nd gig, musically & visually
- a few tweaks still to be made, but there was one BIG thing still missing
- aaahhh - the backdrop!!!! |
|
* The famous BOAR / DOG / SNAGGLETOOTH Motorhead symbol was faithfully
reproduced by Simon Roseman (a friend of Tillys from work). He did a blinding
job of the outline, but it was left to The 'Kill
to fill in the detail. Tilly, Mase (& sister) & Gaz (Killerwatt
- Sound Engineer) got stuck in & came out the other side as qualified
artistic artists!!!!! (as well as Musical & Piss artists!!!).
