It has been announced that Ricky Pellow, Mounts Bay’s Player Coach, will step down from his duel role for the coming season, Ricky will still be available as a player. In the announcement Scrum-half Pellow - who has helped play a leading role in the rise of Mounts Bay- informed club officials of his decision earlier this week, citing personal and work commitments as his reason for tendering his post.

Club president Michael Leah said: "Obviously, it's very disappointing for us and not ideal timing, but we understand Ricky's reasons. He has said he will continue in a playing capacity with us, but other things in his life have taken priority.
"I have a huge amount of respect for Ricky Pellow and he has played a big part in getting the club to where we are today. He says he feels upset about all this and the timing of it all, but he is taking his Level Four coaching course and that - along with other things - he feels has to come first."

Brett Stroud: Flanker

Brett, 25, joins Bay from Plymouth Albion.where he has been since he was a teenager. Last season, Stroud started just over half Albion's league games – lining up in 17 of their 30 matches
