Formatting Cells

You will have learnt some basic things about a spreadsheet programme in year 7

You will have learnt that a page on a spreadsheet contains rectangular boxes called "CELLS"

HORIZONTAL lines of cells are called "ROWS" labelled with numbers

VERTICAL lines of cells are called "COLUMNS" labelled with letters

You will have typed TEXT and NUMBERS in to cells

You will have used a FORMULA in a cell to work out a calculation

You are now going to look at how you can format cells to do different things with data

HOW TO START

Read the instructions CAREFULLY

Click Here with the RIGHT HAND BUTTON and select "Save Target As"
Save the document in to your YR8 ICT folder in My Documents
You can now click on the Open button
You will now have a spreadsheet on your screen with instructions on each worksheet

On each exercise your aim is to get the cells on the right the same as the ones on the left.
