Estate Agent's Website - Communicating with Text and Graphics
As well as using leaflets to give details to customers about properties that are for sale a good way of making this information available is by using a web site.
Your next task will involve creating a web site.
CLICK HERE to see an example of one that Mr. Lowe has started for you to look at.
You are going to make 3 pages and keep them in a folder of their own.
First of all make a folder in your Yr8 ict folder in My Documents.
Call the folder "estate agent's web site"
(COPY AND PASTE A VERSION OF YOUR ESTATE AGENT'S LOGO IN TO THIS FOLDER)
The first page that you are going to create for you website is the page that has details about a house for sale. Perhaps use the same one that you did a leaflet for.
The second page will be a one that has a list of properties for sale and the third page will be the Estate Agent's Home Page.
Once you have created these pages you will then link them
together using Hyper Links
Instructions to Start Page One.
When you make a web page you can not just drag pictures
and text in to places that you want them.
One way to get things in the position that you want them
is to use tables
I suggest that you insert two tables to begin with.
One with one row and one column of cells
Then inside this table insert a table with one row and
two columns of cells
You can make the borders of the tables invisible so that you do not see them in the finished web page

Save this page in your estate agent's website folder and call it "property page"
You can now add the rest of the information that you want to say about your house for sale like in my example.
Remember to check for mistakes and to make sure that the information is clear and easy to read.
I suggest you use two font types maximum.
You are now ready to make the second page in your Web
Site - The House List Page
