How to edit a Shop Photo using Serif Photo Plus
 

You are going to make a leaflet to advertise Showtime Video Rentals in the local community but in order to do this you first have to edit a photo of a shop to give it the correct name.

This will improve your knowledge of how to edit a photograph using the software Serif Photo Plus
 
 

• First you have to Save a photo of the shop you are going to change
• Click Here to choose a photo to use
• Save it in to your Yr 9 folder in My Documents
• Then Load Serif Photo Plus
• Choose the Colour Pickup tool from the left hand tool bar and use it to choose the light colour behind the writing
• Then choose the Paint Brush tool and paint out the writing
• Next use the text tool to write Showtime Video Rentals
• When you have written the shop name you need to choose the "deform" tool
• Then point at the side of the writing and click and drag it rotate it a little
• Move the text up to the space on the picture at the top of the shop
• Again with the deform tool you can hold the Ctrl button and drag each corner of the text to change the perspective of it so that it fits in the space above the shop

You are now ready to put your changed photograph on to an advertising leaflet that you can design using Publisher...
