Theatre Topic - Bookings Database

If you have got to this stage you should have set up 6 tables with NO MISTAKES

I have taught you how to set up the tickets table with 2 validation rules...

HOWEVER - in order to save time we have to remove those rules so that we can copy and paste the ticket information in to that table... SORRY :-)

 Read below what you have to do next...

• You have to click on the tickets table with the Right Hand Button and put it in to Design View

• Delete the validation rules from the "Row" field, the "Adult Price" field and the "Concession Price" field.

• Save the changes

• Put the table in to "Datasheet View"

• Open up the spreadsheet file called "seat information" with the ticket details in it - Start / my computer / shared work / from Mr Lowe / Yr 9

• Select the "ticket Number" column but NOT the title cell - i.e. from A2 to A1001

• Click the copy button

• Go to your tickets table on the database and highlight the ticket number column

• Then paste the ticket numbers in to this column

Repeat this process for each of the columns in the table

When you have done this you can put the validation rules back on those fields by putting the table in to design view.

I know that this is a bit technical BUT I know you can cope with it...
