A SWITCHBOARD is a special kind of form that has buttons on it. When you click a button it opens up another form from the database that lets you work with the data.
Setting up a SWITCHBOARD
Here is a step by step guide
Click the Tools menu > Database Utilities > Switchboard Manager
When the next message comes on the screen saying would you like to create a Switchboard CLICK "Yes"
Click Edit
Click New
In the next window type "Add a new Customer" in the "Text:" area
Now select "Open form in Add mode" in the "Command" list
Then select the Customers from from the "Form" drop down menu
If you now close the windows that let you edit the Switchboard and then double click the switchboard you should get a window with a button on it...
Click the button and see what happens...
You can add a couple of friends as a customers now...
